Basic Info
Name:Lauren
Bio
Okay. So, here's the thing:

My name is Lauren. I'm tall, brunette, and have brown eyes. I'm 16, I'm a high school student, and I want to study Nutrition after leaving school.

If you were to ask me to list the most important things in my life, my answers would be something like this: True Friends (And in particular, my best, best friend. She knows who she is.) Good food. Optimum nutrition. Strong Coffee. Meaningful cinema. Dreaming. Writing. Happiness. Love.

I don't trust easily. I'm not all that social, although I do have one really close friend; we're freakishly linked. I'm very curious - I like to know how things work, why things are the way they are, and why people think and act a certain way. I don't understand people who don't think about these things, like how the universe was created, and who created us, and why we are, well, us! I hate being touched. I laugh a lot. I tend to be extremely judgemental, critical, and hold grudges.

This is partly my dream journal. I'm extremely interested in lucid dreaming (dreaming and being aware that you're dreaming), as well as sleep and dreaming in general. It's mainly for me, but you're welcome to read if you're interested. I use a lot of acronym's. Here is a list of them, and what they mean.

LD - Lucid Dream
DC - Dream Character
DJ - Dream Journal
DILD technique - Dream initiated Lucid Dream (a normal dream, induced simply by sleeping, and then coming to the realization that you are in a dream, and thus becoming Lucid.)
FA - False Awakening
HH - Hypnagogic or Hypnopompic Hallucinations
HI & HS - Hypnagogic imagery and hypnagogic sounds.
MILD technique - Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dream (used to induce a lucid dream at will by setting an intention, while falling asleep, to remember to recognize that one is dreaming, or to remember to look for dream signs when one is in a dream.)
RC - Reality Check
REM - Rapid Eye Movement
SP - Sleep Paralysis
WILD technique - Wake Initiated Lucid Dream (used to induce a lucid dream by staying awake and aware during the hypnagogic stage, which is within the border of being awake and being asleep. If a person is successful in staying aware while this stage occurs, he or she will eventually enter the dream state while being fully aware that it is a dream.)
WBTB tecnnique - Wake-back-to-bed (used to induce a lucid dream by going to sleep tired and waking up five hours later. Then, focusing all thoughts on lucid dreaming, staying awake for an hour and going back to sleep while practicing the MILD method.)

That's all I can think of right now. Oh, and, I love making lists.
